2015 TSWAA Neilsen Athlete Grant Program

The Program:                                                                                                                    REGISTER FOR PROGRAM

WASUSA, in cooperation with the Neilsen Foundation and the Tri-State Region has arranged to offer a Registration with free Saturday dinner for all SCI** athletes to the Tri-State Regional Games or the Mason Games.  

How do you earn one of the Grants?

Work with your Coach to:

1. Document your 2014 Track and Field Personal best times/distances

2. Record your initial 2015 times and distances at one of you first practices.

2A. Coach to submit the Initial 2015 Spreadsheet for the entire team/SCI population

3. Create an Athletic LOG of your daily/weekly training.

4. Fill out an Application for the Tri-State games and send it along with your log to date to the Meet Registration group.

5. Bring your log with you and submit it to Registration at the Tri-State (all teams except  or Mason Games.

6. Athlete must be a Full WASUSA Member.

How do you enter?

1. Athletes who would like to be considered for the program should register on-line by clicking on "REGISTER FOR PROGRAM"

2. The athlete will have to fill in the entire application.

3. TRI-STATE will then acknowledge the receipt of the registration, and acknowledge your entry into the program.  In a few cases the LOC may ask for follow up information to verify your SCI diagnosis.

4. The athlete/coach must  fill in registration paperwork and submit their registration form

When will you know if you were chosen?

Within 2 weeks

  **Who is included in the SCI classification for the purpose of this program?

Traumatic or chronic SCI – SCI typically as a result of a traumatic event (ie: accident, fall, etc.) or SCI chronic/individuals that had surgical intervention that resulted in spinal injury (ie: cancer, spina bifida).

SCI does NOT include spinal stenosis, MS, ALS, Parkinsons, or MD.
