2009 National Junior Disability Championships




2009 National Junior Disability Championships (NJDC):

Wheelchair Sports USA's National Championship in St. Louis, Mo.  from 7/23-8/2/2009 saw over 200 athletes ages 7 to 21 complete.
Tri-State teams from New Jersey (Children's Specialized Hospital (CSH) and United Spinal Navigators (USN)) , New York (Long Island and Rochester) and Connecticut participated.   All Teams did great.   Our Athletes represented the Region well achieving Personal Bests in all the sports participated in.


  • Athletics, Swimming, Table Tennis, Weight Lifting, Archery.

  •  Sprit of Excellence:
    - Female Swimming - Toni Saia,          USN
    - Male Track               - Jim Cuevas,     USN
    - Male Weightlifting  - Louis Riccardi, CSH
    - Male Archery           - Ray Martin,       USN
  •  Jan Elix Award:
    - Phil Galli
    - Jessica Galli
  •  Team Award:
    - 1st. Place Large Team - United Spinal Navigators

The Tri-State Board of Directors wishes to congratulate all our teams and Award Winners.  All our teams represented Tri-State Well.
